SPRFC is very proud of the childcare personnel, programs and facilities provided for our members. We are happy to provide toys for your children while they are visiting our childcare rooms. We offer many things for you child's enjoyment including a wide selection of coloring pages, waffle blocks, Legos, dollhouse toys, kitchen play toys, puzzles, board games and a wide variety of other toys.
Snacks and drinks are allowed; however, all drinks
must have a lid and only dry, non-sticky snacks such as crackers,
pretzels and dry cereal are allowed in the childcare rooms. |

Ages
Children four weeks of age to 12 years of age are welcome to stay in our childcare facility. Infants to age 2 ½ stay in our infant/toddler room and children over 2 ½ stay in our large room (Monday through Friday 8:30 am until approximately 11:30 am).
Before 8:00 am and after 11:30 am, evenings and Saturday morning's
children of all ages stay in our large room. |

Cost
Child Care is available to members at a cost of $8 per month.
Pay as you go child care is available at $5 per day for members
and non members.

Snow Policy
If Anne Arundel County Public Schools have a 2-hour delay the childcare will
open 2 hours late.
If Anne Arundel County Public Schools cancel or
are not in session because of holidays, in-service days, etc.,
please call SPRFC to inquire of the status of the childcare
rooms. Depending on the many varied circumstances the childcare
rooms may delay opening, close, or stay open for its regular
operating hours. In the event inclement weather does not begin
until later in the morning the childcare rooms may close early
if conditions warrant. Again, please call to verify status.
Any changes in hours will be made by 7:30 am for the morning
session and 3:00 pm for the evening session. |
Children's Programs
Stingray
Swimming Team
SPRFC offers a USS Swimming Team with certified coaches. Parents and swimmers set the goals and SPRFC's
professional staff trains the swimmers to meet those goals.
Competition is available but not mandatory. Children
must be able to swim one length of front crawl and one length
of backstroke to participate. |
Swim
Lessons
SPRFC offers swim lessons to members and non-members
for children of all levels. Our qualified instructors are well
trained, ethusiastic, and offer safe and effective instruction.
Red Cross certificates will be issued for Red Cross swim classes
when all required skills are learned.
Private swim lessons are available. Please see the
Front Desk or Aquatic Director for more information. |
Kindercise
SPRFC offers a free activity class for children
2 years through 6 years of age. Please sign your child up 15
minutes prior to class. Children must wear athletic white-soled
shoes and be dressed appropriately for exercise.
The classes are led by two instructors on a racquetball
court. The children will be introduced to the benefits of exercise
through play. Basic ball handling skills, balance, movement,
and stretching are all taught in the Kindercise program.

regarding specific age groups, days and times. Note:
only parents may legally sign the Kindercise waiver; therefore,
members may not bring anyone else's child. |
Junior Racquetball
League
SPRFC offers a fee-based Junior League Racquetball
program for boys and girls up to age 18. The program runs for
approximately 10 - 12 weeks in the fall and spring.
Participation in the program is a great way to introduce
racquetball to all junior beginner players. Juniors will learn
the fundamentals of the game including strokes, serves, rules,
court positioning, and game strategy.
Sign up is required and appropriate footwear (non-marking shoes) and eye guards are mandatory. |
