The D’Antoni family have been members of SPRFC for 6 years. They chose to join SPRFC because of the pool and swim team. They have always been active and love sports. They are both year round swimmers, but each does other sports as well. They learned to swim at SPRFC! They moved from lessons to stroke clinic to the Stingrays' swim team. They look forward to coming here each day and state the STINGRAYS ROCK! Their favorite activities at the club, besides swimming, are the Tween and Jr. Fitness classes. They have also played racquetball here.
Mia is a fifth grader. Her favorite subjects are reading and history. Will is a third grader. His favorite subject is math. Along with swimming, Mia plays basketball and lacrosse. She takes hip hop and plays the flute and piano. Will swims, plays basketball, baseball, soccer, drums, and is a Cub Scout.
Will is inspired by hard workers. He always tries to do his best. If you are confident, you can do anything. “NEVER EVER QUIT” For Mia, people who make a difference always inspire her. She is collecting books for the pediatric wing of the hospital and has a drop box poolside for people who want to donate used books. She donates the books each month and so far has collected over 250 books! Please consider helping Bubbles' Books!
Another inspiration for Mia is Dr. Yu-Jin Lee, a member of SPRFC. As people get older, they sometimes slow down. Some quit their activities but not Dr. Yu-Jin. In his late 70’s, he is an amazing and competitive swimmer throughout the USA and a very kind man. He has taught Mia a lot about being a lifelong swimmer.
Why exercise?
Will- Keep moving! Exercise makes you feel stronger. Try different sports and eat right.
Mia - I feel good inside when I exercise and after I'm done. Even if it's hard and you want to quit, keep going. The harder it is, the better you feel when you're done. |
